The Richmond Hospital Education Program (RHEP) is a joint program funded, supported, and implemented by the Virginia Department of Education, Virginia Commonwealth University Health System (VCUHS), and† Richmond Public Schools to provide educational services to any students seen within the Childrenís Hospital of Richmond (CHoR) or supported clinics.†† As a State Operated Program, the RHEP reports directly to the Virginia Department of Educationís Division of Special Education and Student Services.†

Information about the program can be found on the About Us link on the left.† The RHEP provides direct instruction and consultative services to students hospitalized or being followed by supported clinics within the Childrenís Hospital of Richmond as a part of the Virginia Commonwealth University Health System.† All of our services are provided free of charge and include direct instruction, testing, diagnostic assessment, eligibility and child study findings for students with disabilities, and more.† Click the Service List for a brief listing of some of the many things we can provide your student during and after a visit to ChoR!
